Obituary

Raymond E. Reter passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021. The Cockeysville, Maryland resident was 73 years old. He was born on August 28, 1947 to Constance (nee Bottone) and Raymond R. Reter in Baltimore, Maryland. He proudly served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Raymond was the beloved brother of Constance "Connie" Collins, Dolores "Dee" Woodruff and her husband Larry and Paul A. Reter and his wife Rebecca "Becky"; cherished uncle of James "Jim" Edward Pletzer and his wife Tonya, Paul Andrew Reter, II and his wife Molly, Eric Glenn Woodruff and his partner Sandy Eckard, Brian Joseph Woodruff and his wife Amanda and the late Larry J. Woodruff, Jr.; Steven Williams his caretaker and roommate. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews who loved him deeply. Raymond will be remembered as a wonderful uncle, brother and friend.

Raymond was an avid bird lover, photographer and train enthusiast. He was one of the original founders of the Friends of the Stewartstown Railroad, Inc. in Pennsylvania. He was an active member with the Stewartstown Railroad and served in a variety of positions including the Newsletter Editor, Station Master, President, Secretary, Gift Shop Manager and Treasurer.

Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please remember Raymond with memorial contributions to the Friends of the Stewartstown Railroad .
