Richard John Zurcher, Sr. of Cockeysville, Maryland passed away at his home on Monday, September 12, 2022. He was 93 years old.

Richard was born on September 11, 1929 in Reading, Pennsylvania to the late Mary (nee Melcher) and Walter Zurcher. He honorably served his country in the Korean War with the United States Air Force. Richard earned his bachelor's degree and was a computer programmer with Western Electric. He was an avid golfer and played with the Franklin Marshall Team and the Air Force Golf Team.

He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Mae (nee Carroll) Zurcher for 30 years before her passing in 1991; loving father of Richard Zurcher, Jr.; dear brother of Ruth Patton and her late husband Pat, the late Walter Zurcher and the late Anne Barto.
