Obituary

Robert "Bob" Lawrence Bordenski Sr., beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 26th, surrounded by family who will forever cherish his memory. He was 88 years old.

Born on July 29th, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Joseph John Bordenski and Marie Anna Kochler, Bob grew up in a large and lively family as one of twelve siblings. From a young age, he carried a strong work ethic, a sharp sense of humor, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures- qualities that would stay with him throughout his years.

Bob shared a beautiful life with his late wife, Arlene, with whom he built a home filled with laughter and unconditional love. Together they raised their children and created memories that their family will hold close forever.

Bob spent most of his career as a proud longshoreman, a job that reflected his strength, determination, and commitment. Along the way, he also served briefly as an EMT and a police officer, always finding purpose in helping others and working hard for his family.

Outside of work, Bob found his greatest joy in spending time with the people he loved. He enjoyed golfing with his brothers, going out to eat with his family, taking spontaneous rides to Ocean City, and finding comfort in the familiar glow of his favorite dive bars. Bob loved the quiet comfort of his home in Pasadena, where he took pleasure in working around the house and relaxing by the warmth of the fireplace. But above all, nothing made him happier than being out on the water - a boat ride was his true peace.

Bob is survived by his sons, Robert Jr., Michael, and Timothy, and was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Robin. He leaves behind many grandchildren, Breanna, Emily, Alexander, Steven, Michael, Melissa, and Nicholas, as well as great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and loving neighbors who became like family over the years.

Those who knew Bob will remember him for his easy laugh, his stubborn streak that came with a twinkle in his eye, and his unwavering love for his family. He lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and love. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue in the stories and smiles of everyone who loved him.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Monday, November 10 from 10-12 Noon with a Funeral Service officiated by Certified Life Celebrant Douglas Restrick to begin at 12 Noon.
