On April 10, 2024, Robert Reed Cooke, of Timonium, Maryland, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 after a long illness.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Cintra, his son Brian (Rebecca Kraut), his brother Joseph Henry Cooke, and two grandchildren, Eli and Aaron Kraut Cooke.

A graduate of Mt. St. Joseph's High School and Loyola College, he was an outstanding history teacher and assistant principal at Sparrows Point and Parkville High Schools.  He later pioneered the use of computers in scheduling throughout Baltimore County schools. During retirement, he was an avid golfer and spent his winters in Bonita Springs, Florida.  Reed also loved to travel, having visited Egypt, China, and Africa, among other places.  He was an enthusiastic sports fan and closely followed his beloved Orioles and Ravens.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Center on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please remember Robert with a memorial contribution to Gilchrist ( www.gilchristcares.org ) or Alzheimer's Association ( www.alz.org ).
