Robert Kamps of Oak Crest Retirement Community passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Carol T. Kamps for 62 years and the devoted father of Robert W. Kamps, Jr. and his wife Yvonne A. Kamps of Chicago, Illinois.

For 68 years, he was a Mason and a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge (#116) in Towson, having served as its Worshipful Master in 1966. In addition, he was a member of Towson DeMolay and served as Master Counselor for one year; was a member of Scottish Rite of Baltimore and received his Scottish Rite degrees in France while serving in the U.S. Army; and was a member of Boumi Shriners of Baltimore and was noted on the 100 Club board as the fourth oldest living member of Boumi.

A Memorial Service will be held for both Mr. & Mrs. Kamps at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Center, 2325 York Road, Timonium, MD on Saturday, January 9, 2027 at 11 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, please remember Robert with memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
