Ronald J. Blachowicz of Jarrettsville, MD. passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024. He was born on May 23, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Theresa Blachowicz, he was raised by his beloved aunt, Ann Gorzkowski. Dear father of Stacie Schuller (nee Blachowicz) and the late Keith Blachowicz. Loving Pop-Pop to Alyssa and Zachary Schuller.

Ronald served in the US Army for 6 years and was honorably discharged in 1973. For many years as an adult he would watch the firetrucks drive by and say, " I wanna ride on the back of that truck!" This enthusiasm led to him serving 10+ years as a fireman for Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, holding the title of Sergeant for several of those years. He had a passion for giving back to the Veteran community. As a member of the Towson Elks, he coordinated countless dinners, picnics, and outings for local VA Hospitals. His favorite thing to do was hand out care packages at the VA Hospitals at Christmas time while wearing his Santa hat. He was an avid lover of the beach, fishing, and beer. He will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, August 24th from 2PM to 5PM. The Towson Elks #469 will be honoring Ronald during the visitation with a service at 3pm.
