On February 18, 2023, Ronald Kramer Layman, 83, of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, passed away. Ron was the loving husband of the late Jacqueline Marie Devilbiss and Leslie Ann Wanke; devoted father of Robin Lynn VanMeter and her husband Roger, Sr. and Cynthia Susan Layman and her husband Michael Carter; cherished grandfather of Jacqueline Troy Walsh, Roger Keith VanMeter, II, Ronald Kenneth VanMeter and Victoria Lynn Smith; great grandfather of Roger Keith VanMeter, III and Carson James VanMeter; brother of Judith Lininger, Bill Layman, Richard Layman, Susan Menges, Mary Jane Patzman and the late John Layman.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Also making many contributions to the conservation of these activities. He loved his family dearly, spending much of his free time with family members. A Federal Reserve employee, in Baltimore, for 27 years. After retirement from the Fed he went on to work for Unisys, Gettysburg Hotel and finally the Gettysburg, PA. YWCA.

A Memorial Service will be held at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.
