On February 26, 2023, Rose Marie Hayes, 74, of Timonium, passed away. Rose Marie was the loving daughter of the late Glenn and Marie Hayes; devoted sister of Glenn M. Hayes, Jr., and his wife Susie; cherished aunt of Catherine Tews and her husband Todd and David Hayes; dear great aunt of Sebastian Hayes. Also survived by 8 first cousins that Rose Marie was close to throughout her life.

Rose Marie's early life involved multiple moves and attending many different schools due to her father's military transfers. She attended high school in Hawaii for three years and graduated from high school in Norfolk, VA before attending Mary Washington College graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in 1971. Following college Rose Marie began her professional life in Baltimore, MD working for the State Department of Education. Her focus was in home childcare management where she served in various staff and management positions culminating in her retirement in 2013 after over 41 years in the Department.

Rose Marie enjoyed travelling both domestically and internationally, particularly to Germany, where she attended graduations of both her niece and nephew. She also enjoyed antiques and collecting specialty glass, jewelry, China and pewter objects for herself and as gifts to others. Rose Marie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Stella Maris Chapel, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093 on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 beginning at 11:00 A.M.
