Royce Margaret Schmidt (nee Elliott), 82 of Timonium, passed away peacefully after a hard-fought illness, on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Royce was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 18,1943 to the late Leroy, Sr. and Marie Elliott, devoted wife of the late Rodney D. Schmidt, cherished mother of Sharon M. McCarthy and her partner JD and Suzette L. Eisen and her husband Fred, beloved grandmother of TJ McCarthy and his wife Lisa and David Piel, Jr., loving great-grandmother of Alex McCarthy and Patrick McCarthy, beloved sister of the late Dennis Elliott and Leroy Elliott, Jr., loving aunt of Ross Elliott, Garrett Elliott and Erin Elliott.

Royce had a career spanning over 3 decades at Starleigh Entertainment, fondly being remembered as "Royce from Starleigh". Later in life she also received her cosmetology license as another added skill. Royce held many passions and hobbies including cruising, gardening with her neighbors and was an avid ancestry fan. One of her most favorite jobs was being a grandmother, better know as "Yam" and was very proud of her most cherished grandsons.

A visitation will be held at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A., Timonium, MD, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 beginning at 11AM. Interment to follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
