Sandra Josephine
Rhoten
d. Nov 2, 2025
Sandra Josephine (nee Tito) Rhoten age 78, born on September 20th, 1947, in New York was sent to live with the angels on Sunday morning, November 2nd, 2025, in Timonium, Maryland.
Sandy or Ellie, as she was affectionately known, was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was a gentle soul who loved her family, pets, and friends unconditionally. She was a gracious person and gave everything to her family, always putting others first.
Sandy grew up in New York City with her father Joseph Bernard Tito working at Bethlehem Steel as an accountant and her mother Vera Iris Fuller as a stay a home mother. She was the oldest of three siblings, her brother Joseph Tito, and her sister Lynda Suzanne Jacobs. The family moved to Lutherville, Maryland when her father's job was relocated and she attended Dulaney High School. In high school she was crazy about typing, dancing, going to the beach, listening to music, and good movies.
After high school, she fell in love and married Timothy Lee Rhoten and had two daughters, Tiffany Renee Rhoten and Noelle Lynne Rhoten. While raising her family she took classes at College of Notre Dame and became a secretary for a small business. Later she went further to become a full-time secretary with Baltimore County Public School system at Harford Hills Elementary School, and a secretary within Human Resources, and later for Infants and Toddlers.
Many family gatherings and holidays were spent at her house as she loved entertaining, decorating, and making everything magical. After retirement, she devoted her time to help watch and raise her grandchildren, Rachel Alessandra Finkle, Olivia Chelsea Rhoten-Kelly, and Finnegan Joseph Rhoten-Kelly. Her dream of owning a beach home finally came true and she could relax and unwind at the beach, her favorite place to find peace.
Her last year of life she fought to stay well but an aggressive disease took her away from us. Most of us knew she loved angels and fairies, but what she didn't know was she was our angel and our everything.
Sandy was predeceased by her father, Joseph Bernard Tito, mother Vera Iris Fuller, and son in law Ira Finkle.
Sandy is survived by her two daughters; Tiffany Renee Rhoten and her partner Christopher Lawrence Kelly, and Noelle Lynne Finkle; sister, Lynda Jacobs; niece, Danielle Lynn Jones and her husband Gregory Vincent Jones; brother, Joseph Tito; and grandchildren, Rachel Alessandra Finkle, Olivia Chelsea Rhoten-Kelly, and Finnegan Joseph Rhoten-Kelly.
