Obituary

Sandra M. (nee Magrath) Kasch of Wilmington, Delaware died peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was 82 years old. Sandra "Sandy" was born in New York City, New York to the late Arthur T. Magrath and Constance I. (nee Challan) Magrath.

Sandy met the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Kasch, at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota and they married shortly after graduating in 1962. His career with DuPont settled them in Wilmington, Delaware and Sandy lived there until 2021, when she moved to a nursing home in Timonium, Maryland to be near her daughter.

Sandy's passion was her family and tending to her home. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her dogs. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the organ, listening to music, and boating with her husband on the Sassafras River on the Maryland Eastern Shore, appreciating all the beauty that nature has to offer. Her family has many fond memories of time spent with Sandy and Dick at their IA campground home on the Sassafras.

Sandra was predeceased by beloved husband, Richard E. Kasch, who passed in 2013, and her son, J. Devin Kasch. She is survived by her brother, Geoff Magrath, children, Laura Kasch-Semenza and Craig Kasch; cherished Mimi (grandmother) of Allie, Victoria, Evan, Carly, Gabe, Nicolai, Georgi, and Hristo, all of whom brought her great joy, and nieces and nephews Scott Magrath, Julie France, Erin Foltz, Laura Golinski, David Najarian, and Tim Najarian.

A Celebration of Life gathering for Sandra will be held in the future at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please remember Sandra with memorial donations to Chesapeake Bay Foundation , 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, Maryland 21403.
