Obituary

Sharon Lee Odom Fairbrother, 66, of Freeland, MD, passed away peacefully of natural causes at home on June 29, 2025.

Born in Baltimore, MD, Sharon graduated from Baltimore School of Hair and spent over fifty years as a cosmetologist.  Sharon was passionate about doing hair, and it wasn't just a career, it was a calling.  She used her craft to help others feel confident and cared for, bringing beauty and connection into the lives of her clients and friends.

Sharon was the definition of strong and independent, yet endlessly caring and generous.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures: the warmth of the sun on her skin and the sand under her feet at the beach, the peacefulness of a campsite under the stars, and the quiet moments in her garden and painting.  She had a special gift for making everyday life beautiful-whether by preparing a family meal (often while planning the next one) or creating a loving home with her time, touch, and heart.

Above all, Sharon lived for her family.  She gave her love freely and fiercely.  She was an inspiring presence—loving, funny, and endlessly devoted—and her legacy of kindness and strength will carry on through all who were lucky enough to know her.

Her memory will be carried on by her husband Steven; children Chyloh and spouse Brian, Justin, Elizabeth and spouse Jeffrey; grandchildren Airianna, Emily, Justin, Nathaniel, Elle, Cole, Avery, Landon, and Reese; her mother Shirley and her sister Tracey.  She was preceded in death by her father Jimmy and her sisters Linda and Lorraine.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
