Sheila Lee Tayback (nee Meagher), born on December 20, 1951, passed away on February 23, 2024 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was the beloved wife of Robert M. Tayback; loving mother of Brian R. Tayback and his husband Brandon Hintze; and cherished sister of Penny M. Chandler.

Sheila was born in Sanford, Florida to the late Margaret E. (nee Cornelius) and William E. Meagher. She grew up in Parkville, Maryland and was a 1969 graduate of Parkville High School and a 1973 graduate of Towson State College. As a young woman, Sheila worked as a "Base Belle" for the Baltimore Orioles and as an usher at the Painter's Mill Music Fair.

For many years, Sheila worked as a medical coder for the Greater Baltimore Medical Center and for Gilchrist Hospice. Sheila loved music, particularly classics and Broadway. She was also an excellent pianist. She enjoyed the music of Elvis Presley and attended Elvis Tribute Competitions in Ocean City, Maryland.

An animal lover, Sheila and her husband enjoyed fostering many dogs over the years and was devoted to her beloved pets. She loved to travel with her sister Penny to Surfside Beach and Charleston, South Carolina and Ocean City and Cumberland, Maryland. She found cruises to the Bahamas and Bermuda very relaxing and tranquil.

With her husband Robert, she enjoyed taking walks, listening to music, and discovering treasures at flea markets and thrift stores. She enjoyed watching movies and working on challenging crossword puzzles in her spare time.

She was gentle and kind with a sharp sense of humor, a caring nature, and a strong love of family. She was beautiful, inside and out, and will be missed by many.
