On Monday, November 10th   2025 Shirley Chase, nee Brown, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 89 years old. Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Richard Chase, Loving mother to Daniel Richard Chase and his wife Debbie, and her son Dave Philips. Mother to Carol Lynn Chase and to the late Glenn Richard Chase.  Proud grandmother of Lindsay Cunningham and her husband Tommy Cunningham, Danny Chase and his wife Kacey Chase, Andrew Birch and his wife Deanna Birch. Great grandmother to Cole Cunningham, Chase and Nash Birch, and Brooks Chase. Survived by her sister-in-law Ruth Brown and her brother the late Alan Brown.

Shirley grew up in Pimlico and attended Forest Park High School. She married Richard Chase and they settled in the Hamilton area of Baltimore City for over 50 years, raising their children. In her later years she worked at Macys in White Marsh where she was well known and loved. She later moved to the Perry Hall area with her daughter where she enjoyed reading, gardening, dining out, shopping, and especially vacationing at the beach with her family. She delighted the most in her grand, and great grandchildren.  Shirley had a sweet loving nature and will forever be remembered for the love she showed everyone.

Family and friends will gather at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, P.A. 2325 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
