On December 29, Song was freed from pain and suffering and went home to be with the Lord where he can fish the eternal seas.
Song is survived by his wife, Kat (Kathy) Chum, parents Charles and Angela Hong, younger brother Eric Hong, in-laws Sophia Chum and Ngan Fai Chum, sister-in-law Sandy Chum-Wu, two brother-in-laws Johnny Chum and Albert Wu, nephew Oliver Wu, niece Sabrina Wu, plus an extended Hong, Kwon and Chum family.
Song was born in South Korea, immigrated to the U.S. and lived in Maryland. Song and Kat met on August 22, 1998, and remained by each other's side every day. Song and Kat were married on December 14, 2011. Song graduated from Penn State University and was self-employed as a day trader. Song loved to be with Kat and his brother Eric, loved fishing, listening to music, watching movies, watching sports and loved everything about the financial world of stock trading.
A viewing and prayer service will be held at Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center 2325 York Road, Timonium MD 21093 on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 P.M.
