Sophia Angelos, of Sparks, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the age of 94.  She is survived by her daughters, Frances Martini (Drew), Christine McKendrick (Andrew) and Stephanie Eckhart; son Robert Gilland, Jr (Roberta), grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, along with other extended family and friends.

Sophia was predeceased by her parents, John and Frances Angelos; sister, Fannie Angelos; brother, Peter Angelos; granddaughters, Libby and Angie McKendrick; and grandson, Nick McKendrick.

Heartfelt gratitude to the special people who cared for her: Anne Marie Wright, Leslie Dixon and Lily Mburu and to all the Gilchrist hospice workers who provided care and comfort, especially Felicia Brown, CNA and Cheryl Brown, RN.
