Obituary

Suzanne Marie Felter, 48, died from complications related to a ruptured aneurysm on Friday, August 1st at the Gilchrist Center Towson.

Born at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Suzanne spent her early life in Rosedale where she attended Shady Spring Elementary. In 1984 her family moved to central Florida where she had the opportunity to participate in two Special Olympics games. She returned to Baltimore in 1988 and went on to earn a Certificate of Completion from Overlea High School in 1995.

Suzanne loved Italian food, the color purple, hanging out with friends, and going to the movies. An avid bowler, Suzanne was a member of the Rockets, a bowling league for disabled adults, for more than 25 years. She was a huge fan of Disney movies, 1980s-90s sitcoms, and classic musicals like "Grease" and "The Sound of Music". Suzanne enjoyed traveling and visited Washington DC, New York City, Walt Disney World, and Hawaii. Suzanne was an active member of the Network for Special Teens and Young Adults and STARS and enjoyed volunteering part time at the Institute of Notre Dame.

If there was one thing that Suzanne loved above all others, however, it was the New Kids on the Block! One of Suzanne's favorite moments was meeting Jordan Knight in person at the Hardrock Cafe. She would get the chance to see him in person again in 2023 when she saw the New Kids perform live in Hershey, PA.

Suzanne is survived by her parents, James and Virginia Felter, brother Bill Felter (wife Lynnelle) and her niece, Greta Felter. Suzanne will also be missed and remembered by an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service for Suzanne will be held by her family at the Peaceful Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Center located at 2325 York Rd. in Timonium on Friday, August 23rd at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Suzanne's memory to the Gilchrist Center Towson https://gilchristcares.org/ or the Hydrocephalus Association https://www.hydroassoc.org/
