Tina (Christina) Lynn Hare, age 52, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Hilarious, outspoken, opinionated, and fiercely devoted to the people and things she loved, Tina had a heart unlike any other. Her greatest gift was simply being there. Day or night, no matter how much time had passed since you last spoke, Tina was someone you could always count on. Time and distance never changed the love she had for the people who mattered most to her.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland (Hampden), Tina was preceded in death by her father, John Hare, Sr., and her younger brother, John Hare, Jr. She attended Mercy High School, where she played competitive basketball and soccer. She later earned a college degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
But Tina’s proudest roles in her life were being a wife, a mother, and a daughter. Her family was not simply a part of her life—they were at the very center of it.
Tina shared a deep and devoted love with her husband, John Roberts, her partner and the person by her side through life's everyday moments. Tina loved John fiercely and wholeheartedly. She was his biggest supporter, his companion, and someone who could always be counted on to stand beside him. Their life together was built on love, laughter, loyalty, and the countless little moments that make a life together meaningful. Her love for John was unwavering. Their names became one word when speaking of them.
There was perhaps no role Tina cherished more than being Damon’s mom. After the birth of her son, Damon, Tina chose to dedicate herself to being a full-time mother. She poured her heart, time, energy, and everything she had into raising him and being the very best mother she could be. Being a mom was one of the greatest joys and accomplishments of her life. She was immensely proud of him and devoted herself to loving, protecting, encouraging, and supporting him. Damon was her heart, and there was never any question of how deeply she loved her son.
Her love for Damon was constant, fierce, and unconditional, and being his mother was a part of her identity where she was most proud.
Tina also shared a very rare special bond with her mother, Joanne Hare, who remained an important and deeply loved part of her life. Joanne was not only Tina's mother, but her best friend. Tina loved her mother deeply and remained devoted to her throughout her life. Their relationship was woven into the everyday fabric of Tina's world, and Joanne was someone Tina counted on, checked on, laughed with, worried about, and loved in the way only a daughter can. Family meant everything to Tina, and her relationship with her mother was a beautiful reflection of that devotion.
Tina's heart and passion were her family and many friends. She was the person you could call at any hour for a pep talk, advice, or simply someone to listen to. Her advice was often blunt and unapologetically honest—but it was always given with love and was usually exactly what you needed to hear. Whether it was John, Damon, her mother Joanne, a family member, or a lifelong friend, Tina had a way of making the people she loved feel that they were never alone.
Tina found joy in so many things. She loved couponing, crafting, watching sports, and finding the absolute best deals. She had a talent for finding bargains so good that the stores she shopped at might as well have owed her money.
She especially loved creating handmade things for the people she loved. From chore boards to personalized gifts, Tina put her heart into everything she made. Giving thoughtful, gifts was one of the ways she showed people just how much they meant to her. She didn't simply give gifts—she gave pieces of herself. She paid attention to what the people she loved enjoyed, what would make them smile, and what would make their lives a little easier or happier.
Music was another great passion. Tina loved rock music and rarely passed up an opportunity to see a live band. She attended more concerts than most people could ever hope to, and somehow, she always seemed to have the best seats. She loved live music, the energy of a concert, and making many memories along the way.
At home, Tina was happiest surrounded by her family and friends, especially when hosting Ravens or Orioles game-day gatherings. She loved preparing for parties and could always be counted on to create the most incredible decorations and details. She put so much thought, time, and effort into every celebration, always finding a way to make each occasion feel extra special. She made things, planned things, celebrated people, defended the people she loved, and gave advice whether you asked for it or not. She loved loudly, completely, and without reservation.
Above all, Tina loved her people. Her husband, John. Her son, Damon. Her mother, Joanne. Her family and her friends. They were the people who filled her heart and gave her life its greatest meaning. She had a way of making those around her feel supported, protected, celebrated, and loved. Her honesty, humor, generosity, and fiercely loyal heart will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Tina is survived by her best friend, her mother Joanne Hare; her devoted husband, John Roberts; her beloved son, Damon Roberts; and the many cousins, family members, and friends who loved her deeply.
But Tina's love does not end with her passing.
It lives on in John, in Damon, in Joanne, and in every person whose life she touched. It lives in the memories she created, the traditions she started, the things she made with her own hands, the laughter she shared, the advice she gave, and the countless ways she showed the people she loved that they mattered.
Tina was absolutely one of a kind. She will never be forgotten.
