Veronica Catalina Ortiz Perez, esposa de Richard Zea, hija de Fabian Ortiz (+) y Mery Perez, hermana de Clara Mercedes Ortiz, hermana política de Pablo Zuñiga, tia de Samantha y Fabiana Zuñiga Ortiz, hija política de Leopoldo Zea(+) y Zoila Zea, hermana política de Patricia Zea y Angel Campoverde y de Tania Zea y Santiago Calle y sus sobrinos políticos Emilia, Camila, Nicholas e IKer, y madre para sus hijos peludos Victor, Leo, Lucky y Oliver y demas familiares tienen el profundo pesar de comunicarles su fallecimiento acaecido el 4 de Noviembre de 2024 en Lutherville, Maryland.
Nacida en Cuenca, Ecuador. Educada en el colegio Rosa de Jesus Cordero, y en la Universidad Tecnológica de América.
Una hija maravillosa, esposa única e irremplazable, una hermana incondicional, tía amorosa en especial para Sami, Fabi, Santi y sus sobrinos políticos Emilia, Camila, Nicholas, e Iker.
Verónica, una mujer luchadora y con ganas de vivir; llena de fortaleza y valentía. Con sus frases "Hoy no estoy bien, pero mañana estaré mejor" y "Vamos a salir de esta" nos enseñó que no hay prueba difícil sino el deseo de superarla con valentía y hasta con humor.
Ella con su pasion por la naturaleza entregó gran parte de su vida al cuidado, no solo de Victor, Leo, Lucky y Oliver, sino de todos aquellos animalitos que se presentaban en su camino.
Con su espíritu aventurero en compañía de su esposo construyeron experiencias inolvidables.
Juntos edificaron un hogar lleno de amor, confianza y paz, que les permitió enfrentar esta dura batalla de su enfermedad la cual aceptó con toda fortaleza y resignación.
Mi amor, gracias por todo lo que me enseñaste, tu amor, tu lucha, tu gran corazón, serán mi fortaleza hasta que nos encontremos nuevamente.
La misa en su memoria se celebrará el 9 de Noviembre a la 1 pm en la Iglesia Saint Joseph, ubicada en 100 Church Ln, Cockeysville, MD 21030. Les invitamos a acompañarnos en este momento de despedida y a rendir homenaje a su vida. Agradecemos sus oraciones y su presencia en este momento tan difícil. Que su alma descanse en paz.

Born in Cuenca, Ecuador. Educated at the Rosa de Jesus Cordero school, and at the Technological University of America.
A wonderful daughter, a unique and irreplaceable wife, an unconditional sister, a loving aunt especially for Sami, Fabi, Santi and her nephews-in-law Emilia, Camila, Nicholas, and Iker.
Veronica, a fighter and a woman with a desire to live; full of strength and courage. With her phrases "Today I am not well, but tomorrow I will be better" and "We will get through this" she taught us that there is no difficult test, but the desire to overcome it with courage and even humor.
With her passion for nature, she gave a large part of her life to the care of not only Victor, Leo, Lucky and Oliver, but also of all those little animals that came her way.
With her adventurous spirit in the company of her husband they built unforgettable experiences.
Together they built a home full of love, trust and peace, which allowed them to face this hard battle of her illness, which she accepted with all strength and resignation.
My love, thank you for everything you taught me, your love, your fight, your big heart, will be my strength until we meet again.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030 on Saturday, November 9 beginning at 1 PM. We invite you to join us in this moment of farewell and to pay tribute to her life. We appreciate your prayers and presence at this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace.
