Wayne William Burton of Parkville, MD passed away on July 4, 2024.  Wayne was the husband of the late Sharon Lee Burton (nee Burkhardt-deceased August 2003), who were married for 38 years.  Wayne is survived by his daughter, Gina Brown and her husband John and his son, Christopher Burton and his wife Amy. Wayne and Sharon were also the parents of the late Thomas Burton (deceased October 2021) and survived by daughter-in-law Gina and grandsons Corey Burton and Joshua Burton.

Wayne was the middle of 3 children born to Melvin and Pearl Burton.  Wayne grew up in Perry Hall, MD and attended Overlea High School. Wayne is also survived by his sister Janis Benik and her husband Paul and his brother Brian.

Wayne worked as a refrigeration mechanic for Mars Supermarkets. Outside of work, he spent time playing billiards with friends and in various leagues, boating and fishing.  He enjoyed going to Ocean City, watching the boats and checking out the catches of the local fishermen.
