Obituary

William Paul Lombardi, age 95, died peacefully, November 29, 2024 after celebrating Thanksgiving meal with his family. He was a practicing Catholic and with his beautiful wife, Rose, who passed 7 years ago, raised five children.

Before his death he received Holy Communion and the Sacrament of the Sick, prayers, and later hot coffee (one of his favorites) and said he looked forward to heaven, "very much". He was especially anticipatory to be with his beautiful wife, Rose, again—and also his mother, Pasqualina. They were married over 50 years and lived wondrously in Timonium in a spacious home with big yard with lots of dogs and cats, and many neighborly visits and parties. As God is magnanimous, so were "Willie" and Rose. He used duct tape a lot and was very pragmatic, growing up in the Great Depression and was industrious, savvy and even, while a taxicab driver, drove Ted Williams, baseball star, to his hotel in Baltimore (no autograph). He later sold cars and real estate and even painted houses and thereby provided for the family a home in Ocean City, a kind of paradise for the family before Heavenly Paradise.

The family sincerely thanks all who helped in Willie's passing -especially Kerri and Melissa, caregivers, who were especially compassionate -and also all faithful visitors to the Lombardi Spring Lake home, where Dad lived 60 years. He is the last of the Lombardi siblings and his generation as we are sad, we are also, glad for his witness, providence and Faith, and thankful he did not suffer much.
