At Peaceful Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Center, we strive to reduce the carbon footprint by thoughtfully providing services and merchandise that contribute to a natural and eco-friendly environment. Our practices meet and often exceed any state or cemetery requirements. In doing so, no formaldehyde or toxic chemicals are used. Our biodegradable caskets, crafted from unfinished poplar or pine, contain no plastics or metals. Our florist, The Flower Cottage, ensures that no plastic will be used in the floral arrangements. For the most eco-friendly burials, we recommend organic cotton, hemp, linen, or wool burial garments.
